The Wine Wanderluster experience

Small, hosted wine days in London and in the vineyards of Sussex and Kent. Jannik plans each one around the people coming, and he is with you from the first glass to the last.

More than a tour

Jannik shapes each experience from heritage, expertise and a clear sense of what guests from around the world expect of a luxury trip. He might walk you through a boutique English vineyard or an urban winery, explain terroir and how sparkling wine is made, or plan a whole day of travel down to the train times.

He pairs that knowledge with discretion and warmth. You go home with the scent of the cellar, the sound of glasses meeting, the feel of the landscape and a real sense of the place and its history.

  • Heritage

Danish roots, a great-grandfather in wine and a life spent in more than ten countries.

  • Expertise

Plumpton College, several WSET qualifications and the WSET Diploma under way.

  • A traveller's eye

Days planned for visitors from abroad, from the first train to the last glass.

What you will remember

Ask anyone back from a wine trip and they talk about the same five things.

  1. A woman breathing in the scent of a glass of white wine in a candle-lit cellar
01The scent of the cellarCool air, damp stone and oak. You smell the wine before you lift the glass.
  2. Friends raising glasses of sparkling wine at a long table among the vines at dusk
02The sound of glasses meetingA toast among the vines with the people you came with, and a few new friends.
  3. A hand resting on the trunk of an old vine growing from white chalky stones
03The feel of the landscapeYour hand on an old vine, and the chalk of the Downs under your feet.
  4. Four glasses of white, rosé and red wine lined up on a wooden bar in a winery
04The tasteA flight poured side by side, and a host who tells you what you are tasting and why.
  5. A path between autumn vines leading towards the rolling hills of the South Downs
05The view from the top of the rowsThe hills of Sussex laid out below you, row after row.

Three ways into English wine

Wine tours, tasting events and vineyard workshops. Pick the one that suits you, or ask Jannik to combine them into a private day.

Wine tours

Explore the wine country of Sussex and Kent on a guided tour: walk the rows, stand on the chalk and taste where the wine is made.

Vineyard workshops

Hands-on days with the experts who grow and make the wine, from picking grapes to learning how a bottle of sparkling wine comes together.

How booking works

Four steps from your first message to your first glass.

  1. Send an enquiry

Tell Jannik which experience you would like, your dates and your group size.

  2. Jannik replies himself

The answer comes from the person who will pour your wine.

  3. You plan the day together

Timings, trains and tastings are agreed with you before you travel.

  4. You meet him on the day

Jannik meets you and looks after you until the last glass.

The experiences will also be bookable on international experience platforms as they are approved.
